Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in Theoretical/Computational Chemistry & Biochemistry/Chemical Biology

The Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry, School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, NTU is currently seeking applications from individuals who have or can establish a strong research program in the following areas:
The field of research is not restricted to, but may include theoretical/computational and modelling methods as applied to small molecules, biological molecules and their structure and dynamics, as well as materials chemistry, nanoscience, and ultrafast laser spectroscopy.
With the emphasis on probing and exploiting chemical principles that engender biological complexity. The field of research is not restricted to, but may include bio-organic chemistry, bio-physical, bio-inorganic, bio-analytical and synthetic biology as well as biomedical sciences.
The application must contain a research plan that outlines research visions and topics. The proposed research must complement/strengthen other research activities at CBC.
The successful applicant will be expected to develop an independent, internationally recognized research programme, conduct undergraduate and graduate level teaching, and supervise graduate research students. Joint appointment with the School of Biological Sciences or other relevant schools at NTU is possible subjected to the research expertise and vision of the candidate.
All candidates must have a PhD (or equivalent) degree and preferably post-doctoral research experiences. Selection will be based in part on a record of research publications in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, the ability to obtain extramural funding and the ability to conduct effective teaching at the undergraduate level.
Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
